Two mutual friends of Leslie Jensen and Dave Arnold’s put them in touch, and while Leslie was passing through London (after time in India and Egypt) on her way back to New York City, she finally met Dave. The two soon reconnected at the mutual friends’ wedding. Afterward, while chatting with Dave on the phone (“thinking he was calling from Paris,” Leslie says), he asked her to turn around. There, on the Brooklyn Pier, was Dave on one knee with a ring in his hand. Leslie and Dave had a traditional Mormon ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple, and chose La Caille for the ring ceremony and reception. “It quickly took the lead among possible sites because of the lush flowers, welcoming space, and French themes,” Leslie says. The French-inspired decor helped to create the look for the entire celebration, and was complemented with an elegant color palette of white, black, and copper.
