Though they had both gone to Georgia Tech, Jennifer Dempsey didn’t meet Kevin Black until after graduation while tailgating with mutual friends at a football game. “There was some flirting at the game, and by the end we knew we had to meet up that night,” Kevin says. As Jennifer stood in the rain, holding an umbrella, Kevin knelt down and proposed. “I said ‘yes!’ and started crying and pulling him up off the ground because he was getting his pants wet,” Jennifer says. To celebrate, Kevin popped a bottle of champagne for the two to share right there in the rain. “It wasn’t exactly how either of us had planned it, but it was perfect!” Jennifer says.
