The Programs
Jennifer’s six bridesmaids carried bouquets of fuchsia roses. Instead of boutonnieres, the groomsmen wore fuchsia pocket squares that matched the bridesmaid bouquets.
Jennifer and Kevin wanted a venue located in the city for their reception because they wanted their out-of-town guests to be within walking distance of everything. They fell in love with The Imperial Ballroom at The Biltmore Ballrooms. “The plaster ceilings, crystal chandeliers, beautiful windows, and columns were so beautiful, I knew that we could have an immaculate reception there without adding much decoration,” Jennifer says.
Inside the ballroom the tables were topped with tall arrangements of large white calla lilies and short arrangements of white lilies, all of which Jennifer had designed herself.
Jennifer and Kevin took their first spin on the dance floor as a married couple to Elton John’s “Our Song.” The two had taken rumba lessons to prepare. Later, the DJ played a mix of music including Michael Jackson. “Kevin loves to do the moonwalk,” Jennifer says.
The cake, a four-tiered, square confection with alternating layers of fresh strawberries and lemon filling, was showcased at the reception. The stacked cake was decorated with white buttercream and a black ribbon of icing around the bottom of each tier. To finish it off, fuchsia roses, which matched the bridesmaid bouquets, added a pop of color to the top tier.
Jennifer’s bouquet was made up of white Esperanza roses with pink tips.
Jennifer’s hair was pulled into a low bun in the back with a few light curls. She accessorized with a brooch.
