“Brian’s friend, April Abbot, was a wedding dress designer and upon hearing about our engagement, wanted to give us a dress,” says Cheiu. “She flew in from Texas with about six different dresses based on my description of the perfect dress. After trying them all on, everyone agreed the Egyptian-inspired beaded dress was the one. Wearing it made me feel beautiful.”
