Indoor-Outdoor Wedding at the Indian Trail Club

Marta Jonca (29 and a publicist) and Josh Allen (29 and an attorney) have their own style, and they know it well. “For our wedding, we knew we wanted something outdoors,” Marta says. “We’re not too formal, so a traditional venue like a ballroom just didn’t feel right for us.” Instead, the couple chose to tie the knot lakeside at the Indian Trail Club, and though they did head to a party in the property’s ballroom afterward, Marta and Josh made sure their reception brought the outdoors in. “It had to reflect the setting,” Marta says. Greenery, lanterns and candles added an organic feel.
The pair’s baker topped their lemon cake with a soft blue watercolor design, white anemones and blue thistles. In keeping with their outdoorsy vision, Marta and Josh marked tables with acrylic panels finished with botanical illustrations and candles complete with climbing greenery. Marta found design inspiration in Indian Trail’s trees and the nearby lake. In that spirit, greenery, delphiniums and curly willow filled taller centerpieces. “Though the floor-to-ceiling windows helped bring in the outdoors, I wanted the room to mirror the grounds,” Marta says.
