Festive Coastal Wedding with Festive Detail

When Cade and David began to plan their June wedding afar from New York City, they knew that they did not want a typical yacht club affair. The idea of modern vintage brought to the coast was created based off a sample stationary card that they originally showed the florist, Primrose & Co.
Lemons and greenery became the focal point for design, and Avalon was a meaningful spot for their vision to come to life. Cade and David spend most of their summers on the beach, and the bride's family has a home on the bay. The bride's bouquet was crafted with local varieties: peonies, white lisianthus, greenery and eucalyptus. One tropical, a white king protea, was unexpected and beautifully blended something festive into the design.
When guests arrived at the venue, an industrial installation of greens, plank wood housed tiny paper escort tags set the tone for the evening. The ceremony installation consisted of simple copper pipe arch, which was custom made to reflect chuppah having four poles on each side. It was draped with different shades of textured greenery and cascaded over the railing. Cade and David were married by a friend in a simple, non-religious ceremony.
Heading into cocktail hour, their custom margarita bar was all about the detail and that wow factor. From oversized cylinders filled with margarita garnishes to the homemade rimming salts ( smoked burnt oak seat salt , Sicilian lemon sugar , sea salt smoked paprika , blush brown sugar ), it was a perfect focal point for the evening. Signage for the margarita bar was a water color painting of lemons with a modern acrylic overlay anchored with more copper accents, written by Charlie Whiskey. Traditional margarita pitchers finished the table.
In the reception room , the long tables had garlands of greenery , lemons, and local peonies. The rounds consisted of chunky arrangements that sat on vases filled with fresh lemons and water. The blooms were more local peonies , textured greenery , lemons and the modern bloom , white king protea. Guests sipped from gem colored goblets that was incredibly festive and fun!
To show their gratitude, Cade and David hand wrote a personal letter for each guest. Charlie Whiskey wrote each guests' name in her custom calligraphy. Guests could be seen reading their notes throughout the evening - it was a lovely and personal touch.
The infamous Cafe Wha band was brought in from New York City, where the couple resides. Cade and David danced to 'I want it that way' from the Backstreet Boys before a lively hora. It was a party from start to finish!
As the sun went down, Sundae Best treated guests with homemade, local ice cream.
Cade and David jetted to Turks & Caicos to celebrate a mini-moon before returning to New York.
