For high school sweethearts Emily and Colin love couldn’t be sweeter. The Bride Emily Baker, 22, account manager The Groom Colin Mielke, 23, law student The Date June 8 After four years of dating, Colin took Emily on a picnic in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. “He is pretty romantic, so when he said he wanted to take me on a picnic I didn’t suspect anything at all,” Emily says. Just before sunset, Colin reached into the picnic basket and pulled out chocolate and vanilla pudding cups (chocolate being Emily’s favorite and vanilla being Colin’s). He went on to say that the two flavors represented the two of them, each unique individuals that together create the perfect combination. Emily gave Colin a kiss and went along eating her pudding, just as Colin got on one knee and asked her to marry him. A completely surprised Emily said yes, and a wedding in Minneapolis was soon planned.
