Celebrating her Mexican heritage was also important. The Basilica of Saint Mary was the perfect church to incorporate Mexican tradition into the Catholic Mass. The reception was held at the Graves 601 Hotel. It's modern, in a great location, with a clean, contemporary ballroom that fit their tastes perfectly. The scene of all white flowers with colors of copper and champagne was inspired from vases that Desiree found and fell in love with. Today, many of those vases sit in their home, reminding them every day of their wedding.
