Classic Spring Wedding at Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington, DC
With the cherry blossoms, floods of excited tourists and memories of meeting fiance Ryan Stuart (32 and a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley) for the first time, spring in Washington, DC, has always been Amy Bryce's (25 and a digital project manager for Finn Partners) favorite time of year. So she was thrilled when their engagement coincided perfectly with planning a spring wedding in the city they both love. With a gray and blush pink palette (playing off the cherry blossoms) and Old Ebbitt Grill as their venue downtown, an understated vintage glamour theme seemed to evolve organically from there. "Part of the reason I love spring is for the blooms," Amy says. "I love how the fluffiness of peonies and fresh greenery brought some country into our city wedding." After their traditional church ceremony, their couple and their guests made the two-block walk to Old Ebbitt Grill for a cocktail hour on the roof, offering incomparable veiws of the city and its monuments. For dinner and dancing, the festivities moved inside to the atrium. From the couple: "Dance at your wedding! We were on the dance floor from our first dance to when the DJ started to unplug, and because of that our guests were too. It was a nonstop dance party. We had so much fun!" —Meghan Overdeep
