Classic Round-Cut Diamond Ring With Halo
“The center diamond was Andrew's great-grandmother’s,” Sarah says. “Andrew's great-grandfather owned a large framing company in Alabama and during World War II, the military hired him to mat and frame large military blueprints and maps. So he ran his normal shop by day and worked for the military by night. With the money he earned working those nights, he bought the diamond that now is on my hand. He bought the diamond by itself and it was packaged in a tiny manila envelope. When he came home to his wife, he opened the envelope and poured the diamond into her hand. It was later placed into a gold solitaire setting and then given to Andrew for my ring. It's such a special heirloom for our family.”
