When Christie and Scott were in high school, a local 7-Eleven in Olathe was the hot spot to hang out. It was there that Christie and Scott first met in front of the Slurpee machine. “I tried pouring my Slurpee as slow as I could, hoping he would say something to me!” Christie says. Scott proposed in front of the koala exhibit (“I love animals and especially the koala bear,” Christie says), and the couple hosted a lakeside wedding six months later.
