Although Monika’s father had died nine months before their wedding, he was still a part of their celebration—especially the cocktail hour. “Our cocktail hour was on the Casa Marina patio with a view of an orange and blue sky,” Monika says. “I remember thinking of my dad at that moment. He was a pitcher for the Florida Gators and was always a huge fan. Those colors on that night definitely sent a message to me that he was there.”
