Arabic and Greek Dance Music

After a decadent dinner of filet mignon and halibut or eggplant Napoleon, followed by gingerbread wedding cake with Bavarian creme filling, Liana and Jason took to the dance floor, where they shared their first dance to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” sung by Liana’s maid of honor. “Music is such a huge part of both of our cultures and we really wanted our wedding to be a celebration of our families coming together,” Liana says, “so the music was very important to us.” An Arabic band played during the couple’s “zeffa,” when guests dance around the bride and groom as they make their entrance and cut the wedding cake, and played intermittently throughout the evening, with a DJ spinning during breaks. “The DJ also played Greek music for Jason’s side, which got everyone on the dance floor. The Greek line dancing was so much fun, even though most of us had no idea what we were doing,” Liana says.
