An Intimate Family Farm Wedding Ceremony

“Our farm has been in Dave’s family for over 140 years,” Kara says. “It started as a fruit farm with orchards and vineyards, and his family also ran a general store on the property which is now a building in the Historic registry. The farm has been a weekend retreat for the two of us, and his great grandparents celebrated the anniversaries with bigrnoutdoor dinner parties on the property where our house now sits. We knew we wanted to celebrate the start of our life together in a place so special to our family history. Our ceremony was at sunset in the middle of a field near the original farmhouse. We wrote our own vows and had only our officiant, photographer and chauffeur as witnesses. We truly wanted to focus on our relationship as a couple, how blessed we felt to have found one another and how important that focus would be as the foundation for our combined families.”
