An Intimate Beach Wedding at Sugar Beach Events in Kihei, Hawaii

Zoe Dupuis and Ziad Georges only had two months to plan their wedding, since she lived in Canada and he’s from Lebanon. But the tropical celebration at Sugar Beach Events in Kihei, Hawaii, came together flawlessly. “We had been engaged for three years but couldn’t figure out where we were going to get married,” Zoe says. “We were actually speaking with Ziad’s parents, and they said they were thinking of going to Maui in August. We decided on the spot we would go to Maui with them and plan a small, intimate wedding.” Around 25 guests attended the celebration, which began with an oceanside ceremony framed with a simple arch. “I kept décor really simple,” the Zoe says . “Our arch was decorated with with tropical flowers and pops of greenery. The flowers were my only décor, so they were an important part to my wedding theme.” At the indoor reception, the bride and groom had a traditional cake cutting and first dance, which the bride remembers as one of her favorite moments of the day. “I wanted the wedding to be a modern yet elegant affair. I was going for really clean, crisp colors, focusing on white with accents of tropical green. It was an elevated beach wedding,” Zoe says.

Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: “We had a bar cart with props and 24 disposable cameras so people could create a mini photo booth. We loved looking through these print photos once back from the wedding,” the bride says.
