An English Garden Inspired Wedding at a Private Residence in Upstate New York
Lea Jovanovic (30 and an account executive) and Nick Schupak (29 and co-founder of a music startup) met at the after party of a The Henry Millers concert. A few months later they began dating and on their one year anniversary, Nick proposed in Central Park. They held their wedding at Nick's family farm in upstate New York. The location was meaningful to both the bride and groom and an easy place for all of their friends and family to gather. The ceremony was held in the flower covered gazebo in front of a standing crowd of their guests. For the cocktail hour, Lea and Nick had rented vintage furniture to create an ethereal fairytale atmosphere amongst all of the wildflowers. Friends of the bride and groom played rock music on classic instruments while guests gathered around for tuna tartare and crab cakes. Moving toward the reception area, guests found their name on a seating chart specially designed by the groom. Each table was named after a famous couple, like John & Yoko or Sid & Nancy. Guests filled up on the lobster buffet and were each able to take home little lavender sachets which were a reflection of Lea's French roots.
