An Elegant, Rustic Wedding at Brookside Farm in Louisville, Ohio

Chelsea Bobnar (23, an elementary school teacher) and Jon Bobnar (24, in pharmaceutical sales) participated in the same youth group throughout middle add high school, but never got to know each other. It was by coincidence that when Chelsea’s roommate had high school friends visit, one of them was Jon and they finally got to hit it off. A year and a half later, Jon bought Chelsea a new dress and told her they were going out for dinner. He ended up taking her to Blue Hen Falls in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where they had one of their first dates. A picnic was set up with all of the couple’s favorite foods and a handmade sign that read “Reserved for Jon and Chelsea.” They explored the surrounding area and hiked down to the water, where Jon got down on one knee and asked Chelsea for her hand in marriage. The rustic chic wedding took place at Brookside Farm where the couple held their outdoor ceremony and had their barn reception. Chelsea and her family assembled the wedding decorations that followed the blue, coral and peach color palette, from the Mason jar centerpieces on wooden slabs, to the table numbers that sat on old books purchased at thrift stores and the hand stamped escort cards. The naked wedding cake was complemented by a cupcake bar with six different flavors, along with a popcorn bar for a late night snack.
