An Elegant Historic Wedding at the Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii

Eva Lee (33, a lawyer) and Michael Chen (33, an entrepreneur) were introduced to each other through a couple that Eva met during her time in law school. Their first date was getting sushi at Sugarfish in Downtown Los Angeles, California, and soon enough they began to date. Two years later, Eva and Michael went on vacation to Maui, Hawaii where Michael proposed. Luckily Eva said yes, because the next day Michael had made an appointment to check out Haiku Mill as a potential location to have their wedding, which Eva had discovered prior to their vacation on Pinterest. The couple decided on having a color palette of muted pastels, such as pale pink, mint green and cream to help create their simple, elegant wedding atmosphere. Centerpieces were overflowing with baby’s breathe, and wedding favors of Hello Kitty bride and groom cookies added a nice personal touch from the couple. Since they decided to have their wedding in Hawaii, it was only natural for Eva and Michael to go with a Hawaiian menu of poke and tuna tar tar served as hors d’ouvres at the cocktail hour, and Maui-raised beef and fresh island fish entr?es served for dinner.
