Alisha was with a friend who assured her that Trevor always had fireworks. When they arrived at his room, he and Alisha clicked immediately. “Although I didn’t have any fireworks left for them, sparks flew between us anyway!” Trevor says. After the two went to a party together and spent the entire night talking, Alisha and Trevor were an item. A true test of devotion came when Trevor (an excellent golfer) took Alisha (an amateur) to play nine holes. “I was terrible, but he was very positive and patient,” Alisha says. “I promised to give up the sport after that, just in case his supply of patience ran out in the future.” Five months later, after asking Alisha’s father’s permission (while Alisha was pleasantly distracted shopping with her mom), Trevor proposed at sunset on the beach in Monterey.
