From the bridesmaid dress to the gobo lighting, Alisha and Trevor's celebration was splashed with shades of pink. The Bride Alisha Thawley, a 23-year-old student The Groom Trevor Thompson, 25 and also a student The Date May 14 Alisha was in search of fireworks on the Fourth of July, and she found them...well, sort of. Alisha was with a friend who assured her that Trevor always had fireworks. When they arrived at his room, he and Alisha clicked immediately. “Although I didn’t have any fireworks left for them, sparks flew between us anyway!” Trevor says. After the two went to a party together and spent the entire night talking, Alisha and Trevor were an item. A true test of devotion came when Trevor (an excellent golfer) took Alisha (an amateur) to play nine holes. “I was terrible, but he was very positive and patient,” Alisha says. “I promised to give up the sport after that, just in case his supply of patience ran out in the future.” Five months later, after asking Alisha’s father’s permission (while Alisha was pleasantly distracted shopping with her mom), Trevor proposed at sunset on the beach in Monterey.

The Centerpieces
Alisha and Trevor took their first spin on the dance floor to “Heaven” by DJ Sammy, and the last song was “Now that We Found Love” by Heavy D & The Boyz. A friend of the couple acted as DJ.
The night was lit up by a 15-minute fireworks display after the cake cutting ceremony, and more fireworks went off as Alisha and Trevor made their grand exit at the end of the night.

Alisha carried a bouquet of ranunculus, roses, and peonies in shades of pink, green, and white.
The Ring Bearer and The Flower Girl
Alisha and Trevor had a white five-tier confection decorated with pink and green stripes.
The Cocktail Hour
“The tables were each named after a golf course, since the groom is such a great golfer,” Alisha says. White paper lanterns with pink light bulbs were strung throughout the tent, and pink-lit floral gobos shone on the tent ceiling.
Alisha’s seven bridesmaids wore pink silk tea-length dresses with a sheer edging on the bottom of the dress and a V-neck and -back. “The shade of pink we found looked fabulous on everyone,” Alisha says.
The Escort Cards
The bride walked down the aisle wearing a pearl silk duchesse scoop-neck gown by Justina McCaffrey. Alisha added a rose pink silk-satin sash punctuated by a silver, pearl, and Swarovski crystal pin from Paris by Debra Moreland.
