Christine and Gaetano were both seniors at Suffolk University when a funny thing happened: They were placed in all the same classes. It didn’t take long for Christine to notice that Gaetano joined all of her study groups and made it so they worked on the same team projects. Over the course of the semester, they became close friends, and not long after, Gaetano asked Christine out on a date. They went to a small restaurant in Boston and shared a bottle of Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 vintage. After some excited tears, the couple started planning their elegant tent wedding at Gaetano’s parents’ farm, opting for a deep-purple color scheme.

A Sperry tent with clear sides was key to the couple’s vision of creating a rustic, warm space that still showed off the farm setting.
Mason jars filled with tea lights and tied with purple ribbon flanked low, round vases filled with roses, lisianthus, and other blooms.
Rolled chocolate covered each layer of the four-tiered cake. A “nest” made with twigs and fresh blooms surrounded the already elaborate display.
Guests took home small bottles of champagne wrapped in white tissue and tied with purple ribbon.
The DJ played Jack Johnson’s “Better Together,” which the couple chose because it reminded them of the first summer they dated.
Purple lisianthus and orange roses popped against white hydrangeas. Matching purple ribbon tied the stems together and coordinated with the bridesmaid dresses.
