Andrea Boccard (30 and works in marketing) and Jason Boccard (35 and works in business development) married in an Irish-themed celebration with 200 friends and family members in Great River, New York. The bride and groom first met at a Billy Joel concert, although they say it took them well over a year to admit they wanted to date one another. They eventually became engaged at Heckscher Park in Huntington, New York and knew they wanted to get married on St. Patrick’s Day. “St. Patrick's Day held a special place in our relationship as we celebrated every year for the entire month of March, replete with special outfits, shoes and parties,” they say. Andrea and Jason chose The Mansion at Timber Point as the location for their ceremony and reception because it had everything they were looking for, including a large room for all 200 guests, a huge grand buffet menu and an outdoor bar area in a heated tent for additional space. To go along with their holiday wedding, the couple chose a “rustic Irish chic” theme that incorporated a mix of natural elements, the color green and shamrocks. “We didn't want ‘in your face’ Kelly green and instead opted for a green and gray combination with elements of Irish woven through,” they say.

Andrea's bridesmaids wore long matching silver dresses with shoes and hairstyles of their choice. "It was pretty chilly, so everyone was happy to be in long dresses," she says.

"We wanted everyone to be comfortable and the guys were thrilled to get gray Converse to accompany their gray tuxedos," says the bride.

"We chose Timber Point in Great River, NY because they had everything we were looking for," the couple says. "We wanted to throwrna big, comfortable party (we even had custom-made cornhole boards!) and their space and layout worked well for that."
The bride says she originally chose her Maggie Sottero wedding dress because of its slim lines and lace overlay. However, she later discovered that she would be six months pregnant at the wedding. "So, throughout the pre-wedding prep, we had to alter the dress over and over to fit a growing belly," she says. "They did a great job!"
Since the wedding took place on a Sunday afternoon, Jason and Andrea wanted to keep the atmosphere casual, so they opted for a huge buffet for the main meal so guests could eat at any time.

Following a buffet dinner at the reception, guests were treated to a four-tier Irish-themed white wedding cake for dessert.
