A Sophisticated Ballroom Wedding at Clark's Landing in Point Pleasant, New Jersey

Ryan Coleman (32 and a vice president/senior advisor consultant) and Kaitlyn Korda (30 and a learning disabilities consultant) were introduced through Ryan's sister, who happened to be one on Kaitlyn's best friends from college. Although Ryan was already in a relationship when they first met, he was newly single by the time of his sister's wedding two years later. His sister played matchmaker at her own wedding, persuading Kaity to try and strike up a conversation. When she did, he asked her to dance and invited her on a date the day after the wedding. When it came to the proposal, Ryan wanted to keep the moment simple and personal so that Kaity wouldn't see it coming. After a long and stressful day of work, Kaity came home, and Ryan asked her to grab him a beer from the refrigerator. A little frustrated, Kaity decided she could probably use a drink herself and opened the fridge--where a ring box sat on the shelf next to a celebratory bottle of champagne. Needless to say, it cheered up her bad day! They got married at Kaitlyn's family church, St. Catharine's Church in Holmdel, New Jersey, under a cross that her late grandfather built. The reception venue was much more difficult to find as it needed to accommodate 220 guests, but the couple eventually fell in love with the waterfront ballroom at Clark's Landing in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. They incorporated a vibrant color scheme of navy with pops of bright coral to complement the spring season. Guests enjoyed a photo booth and a lively dance floor with song requests from the RSVP cards in between a cocktail hour (with an enormous selection at a mac and cheese bar, a slider station, a milkshake bar, paella, and passed hors d'oeuvres) and a formal plated dinner. The opulent ballroom was decorated with crystal chandeliers, tall white floral centerpieces, and even an ice sculpture featuring the New York City skyline!
