A Romantic Valentine's Day Wedding at Kendall Plantation in Boerne, Texas
Nothing says romance like a Valentine’s Day wedding. With a timeless palette of black, white and splash of red roses, Trish Snoga (38 and a benefits manager) and Christopher King (44 and a contracts manager) had a vintage, Victorian-inspired wedding at Kendall Plantation in Boerne, Texas. “We looked the look of the venue and the location outside [San Antonio],” Trish says. Her wedding dress stole the show: She wore an illusion sleeveless wedding dress with an intricately beaded overlay and chapel train, which she paired with a simple pearl necklace. The rest of the wedding-party fashions were totally classic, with the groom and groomsmen in tuxedos and bow ties and the bridesmaids in floor-length black dresses. A standout detail? Check out the stunning display on the grand staircase! Covered in a cascading leafy garland with white and red roses, red rose petals, candles and surrounding chandelier, this staircase is the picture of romantic elegance. That’s why it was perfect for the wedding-cake display—three white tiers wrapped in black ribbon and covered in fresh red roses. Trish and Christopher are glad they worked with Sweet August Events to organize their wedding day. “Hire a wedding planner, and make sure you meet the vendors you plan to use in advance," the couple says. "You are going to use these people for an important date, and you want to make sure you are making the right decisions.” See the details, captured by May Carlson Fine Art Photography, below.
