A Romantic, Intimate Wedding at Osprey Point Inn in Rock Hall Maryland
Monique Sjiarif (31 and an accountant) and Kenneth Lim (37 and an IT administrator) first saw each other at a Chinese restaurant in Washington, D.C. but neither had the guts to approach the other. They happened to run into each other again after a church service and got to talking. They bonded over their love of tennis, hiking, Chinese food and durian. A year and a half later, when the couple was visiting Christmas Town in Williamsburg, Virginia, Kenneth brought Monique to the Crim Dell Bridge on the campus of William & Mary and proposed to her with an oval cut diamond ring with a halo. The pair knew they wanted to get married near the water, and they decided Osprey Point Inn was the perfect place. Monique and Kenneth had a memorable ceremony by the water with a tree planting, a vocal performance by Kenneth and a release of heart-shaped balloons. Since the weather was chilly, Monique wore a pink pashmina scarf with her A-line Christo wedding dress for the ceremony. The reception was held indoors at the bed and breakfast, and was lit with pretty string lanterns. Decor included flower arrangements of pink roses and white hydrangeas and gold candles everywhere. The desserts table included an array of candies, a two tier wedding cake and mochi ice cream. All of the DIY details, from the lace trim on the invitations to the heart board for guests to sign make it clear that Kenneth and Monique prioritized their guests while wedding planning. Their intimate wedding was beautiful and full of love.
