A Modern Pink Wedding at Upper Crust in New York, New York

You know that whole "blushing bride" concept? New York-based bride Cecilia Arasin (28) took it to a new level, thanks to a custom-made, pink wedding dress designed by Leanne Marshall. "I knew I wanted pink and that it had to be unique," Cecilia says of the design by the Project Runway champion. "I wanted it to make more of a fashion statement than a traditional wedding dress would." (It also didn't hurt that pink was Cecilia's favorite color.) In fact, the romantic hue was spotted more than once throughout Cecilia and Justin's modern reception at the Upper Crust—an intimate West Village venue that sports exposed brick walls and plenty of outdoor room. "We chose the space because it served as a blank canvas," Cecilia says. "We had the ability to turn it into anything we wanted." Shades of pink were paired with glitzy silver accents (including one adorable cake topper) and lush hydrangea arrangements to bring the couple's modern city reception to life. One detail we loved? Cecilia and Justin's cake and signature cocktail were created with her custom wedding dress in mind. "The fondant ruffles on our cake matched my dress and we served sparkling rose during our toast," Cecilia says.
