A Glamorous, Modern Wedding at Ventanas Atlanta in Georgia

Sequined linens, silver chiavari chairs and cascading arrangements of white phalaenopsis orchids brought Angela Richard (31 and a wardrobe editor) and Trevaughn Aycox’s (30 and a business owner) vision of a glam winter wedding to life. Guests were asked to wear black to the affair, while Angela donned a white, trumpet-style sheath adorned with pearls, which she accessorized with a dramatic cathedral-length veil, pearl headpiece and stud earrings. “I wanted to look regal,” Angela says. Trevaughn followed suit, sporting a dapper white dinner jacket with a satin shawl collar and sleek black trousers. An orchid-draped arch set the scene for Angela and Trevaughn’s modern nuptials, where their 6-year-old son served as the couple’s official ring bearer. Clutching a custom sign that read “Daddy, here comes our girl,” their son walked down the aisle followed by Angela’s bridesmaids, who shimmered in floor-length gowns. After entering the reception to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “Bonnie & Clyde,” the newlyweds cut into an almond-vanilla cake filled with salted caramel. “I wanted our guests to move freely throughout the space and not feel tied to a formal dinner,” Angela says of filling the room with modern lounge vignettes.
