A Boardwalk-Inspired Wedding at the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey

Stephanie Busalacchi (30 and a lawyer) and Jonathan Godwin’s (32 and in the US Army Reserve) boardwalk-inspired wedding at the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey, has us craving a trip to the Jersey Shore. Christina Zen captured every detail as the couple surrounded guests with a mini-boardwalk escort card display, lifeguard centerpieces and local candy wedding favors. After their sun-filled beach ceremony, guests found their blue and white escort cards by a mini version of the pier, complete with ornate black lanterns and steps to the sandy shore; it brought Ocean City, New Jersey, directly into their reception. The theme became more apparent when everyone found their seats. A DIY mini lifeguard stand made by Stephanie’s father marked each table. An Ocean City Beach Patrol sign included the table numbers. Of course, no trip to the boardwalk is complete without a handful of saltwater taffy. So Stephanie and Jonathan sent all 85 guests home with a custom drawstring bag of the treats from Shriver's Salt Water Taffy. It didn’t end there.
