YSA Makino Lace Ball Gown

Nkenna originally had her heart set on a form-fitting mermaid-style gown with a dramatic skirt, but after trying on countless dresses, nothing delivered the wow factor she was after. She decided to give other styles a shot and headed to Bridal Reflections to try on a YSA Makino ball gown her sister thought would be perfect for the glamorous fete. “Once I got into the dress, that was it—I had found my dress,” Nkenna says. With its full skirt, embroidered floral overlay and long illusion sleeves, the ball gown was a bona fide showstopper. “I wanted wow factor, and this was it. Nobody expected me in a ball gown,” she says. “The mermaid-style fit for me looked too predictable. Looking back, it was the best decision ever!”
