Winter Wedding at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Christina Celline, 26, a student at the University of Maryland, and Alex Smith, 27, a naval officer, met when they were both stationed as naval officers in San Francisco, California. The couple eventually got transferred to the east coast but to different states, so they took long trips to spend time together whenever they were on break. On one extended holiday break, the couple went to New York City and Alex proposed with a Tiffany and Co. diamond ring while they were visiting Central Park. Due to prior military obligations of friends, the couple wanted to have their wedding in three months time for everyone to be able to attend and immediately started looking at venues. They got married at St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and had their reception at the Cork Factory Hotel, a historic building that provided the "perfect backdrop for a cozy winter evening wedding celebration," Christina recalls. The couple wanted to incorporate seasonal touches of winter into their wedding, such as table centerpieces accented with birch tree straw and a wedding cake topper made with real pinecones. “I find myself reflecting on our wedding more than I would like to admit, and each time, I hold the day’s events closer to my heart,” says Christina . “For all the brides and grooms to be – may the outpouring of love on your special day be carried with you both for the rest of your lives, because that’s truly the best part of it all.”
