When it came to planning the ceremony, Renee and Ben wanted it to feel reflective of their relationship without being overly sentimental. “We each asked someone close to us to describe what it was like when we met,” Renee says. “My younger brother spoke about how Ben coming into my life made us closer, and Ben’s groomsman Kenny talked about the changes he saw in Ben the first year we were together. I think it helped make our guests feel like they were getting our whole love story and it provided for some good laughs.”
