Whitney & Kirby in Denver, CO

Whitney and Kirby first met during their senior year of college at Colorado State University while hanging out with mutual friends. Whitney says, “I accidentally called Kirby ‘Curtis’ the first few times we all went out, but he didn’t seem to mind.” Kirby never corrected her, and a friend even had to clue Whitney in to Kirby’s real name! It wasn’t too long, though, before the couple had their first date. After graduation, however, Kirby took a job in San Diego, and the two faced the challenge of dating long-distance. But after a year of being apart, the couple decided they needed to be together, so Kirby moved back to Colorado and proposed soon after at their home in Denver.
