White Silk Hydrangea and Peony Bouquet

When it came to the wedding’s flowers, Jamie and Mike decided to ditch tradition. Jamie designed all the bouquets and centerpieces herself using silk flowers instead of fresh, to stay within budget and because of the often-sweltering temperatures in Chicago during the summer months. “It can be so hot and we wanted to make sure our flowers didn’t wilt—it was a win-win,” Jamie says. “Michael also decided that he didn’t want anyone wearing boutonnieres, so we stuck with our minimalistic theme and just had them wear white pocket squares.”
