Christina Kastner (29, a hairstylist and ballet instructor) and Jeremia Ranck (29, Industrial Painter) graduated from high school together but never officially meet until they were 22 years old and two of their mutual friends started dating.  "Fast forward 6 years, and our 4 year old son Aiden later, and we finally felt in a good place in life to get married," says Christina. "Granted, we already felt married, we just had to make it official." Jeremia proposed on Mother's Day by slipping a ring into the pancakes he served her in bed. "Nothing goes better with pancakes, eggs, bacon and coffee than a diamond!"says Christina. The couple made it "official" with an off-beat, vintage-inspired day full of whimsical details like dried wildflower bouquets and a surpass ballet performance.

"One of fabulous bridesmaids was kind enough to make our ceremony programs for us," says Christina. "They were designed to resemble vintage Playbills, perfect for our wedding which was more like a 'performance' than anything!"

"I had planned on visiting a few bridal boutiques, and on a whim, ended up visiting David's Bridal first," recalls Christina. "I had my mom and most of my close friends in tow, and about 10 dresses later we all decided my vintage-loking lace gown with delicate cap sleeves was the one! "
"I chose bright dried wildflowers for all bouquets and table arrangements," says Christina. "They are beautiful, much less expensive and you can keep them forever!"
"I decided to go 'anti-bridesmaid dresses' and chose a much less expensive and much cuter option than traditional bridesmaid dresses from one of my favorites stores online, Modcloth.com," says Christina. "I was lucky to find something that flattered everyone and was also slightly unexpected—the looks I got for choosing black for a Spring wedding!" Each girl added a fun pop of color to her look with bright shoes in the shade of her choice.

"Springside Inn holds a special place in our hearts, and after we saw the beautiful old brick building owned by The Springside Inn, the only question we asked was what dates are available!" recalls Christina.
Christina and Jeremia Wedding Ceremony Vows
"I spent most of the wedding planning on Etsy and antique stores collecting vintage milk glass vases for the centerpieces," says Christina.
The men added a twist on their classic black tuxes with fun argyle socks and classic Chuck Taylor's.
"We may be one of the few couples to have their reception start by having an entire flock of ballerinas perform for their guests!" says Christina. Instead of being announced Christina and Jeremia walked into the reception through a column of 14 of Christina's advanced ballet students.
