Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" Inspired This Wedding in Napa Valley, California

Sophie and Michael looked to a childhood film favorite when planning their wedding: Beauty and the Beast. The Disney fans even choreographed their first dance to the tune of “Tale as Old as Time.” Teal, pastels and green created a whimsical setting at the private vineyard estate, where guests found surprises and delights at every turn. Escort cards made from individual roses tagged with names and table numbers were reminiscent of the story’s enchanted rose, while loose leaves and unstructured bows created a dreamy setting only found in storybooks. At the ceremony, a string quartet played instrumental versions of Sophie and Michael’s favorite Disney movie theme songs. Signature drinks at cocktail hour were also fit right in, with one herbal sip styled with a “tale as old as thyme” ribbon. Other concoctions included orange garnishes branded with the couple’s insignia. For dinner, wood tables were set with chargers made from branches, while table numbers were created out of vintage book pages. “We both love Disney and were inspired to create a magical feeling,” Sophie says of the reception atmosphere. They transformed the space with hanging “swing” seats decked out with greenery and string lights, miniature fairy-tale books tucked inside glass domes and moody fabrics. After dinner, Sophie changed into a yellow gown inspired by Emma Watson’s in the remake of Beauty and the Beast.
