Wedding Dress Disaster on Wedding Day Story

Before the wedding, the bride sent her dress to a dry cleaner to have the top gently steamed with specific instructions not to touch the organza skirt. This resulted in disaster on her wedding day: The cleaner ironed the layers upon layers of organza, destroying the texture and hemline of the dress and leaving it 12 inches too long. “With an hour to get to the venue, I asked my crew of friends to get scissors and cut the excess fabric off the front of my dress so I could walk. In the end, no one knew but us, and this resulted in some of my favorite memories of the day, with me laughing while my friend sits nervously on the ground in front of me nervously taking scissors to the superb creation.”
