This Couple Rode Bikes Around Washington, DC, for Their Prewedding Engagement Photo Shoot
To celebrate their engagement, Phil and Kellen took engagement photos all around their beloved city: Washington, DC. The wedding engagement photo shoot included a stroll around the Kennedy Center with the building’s iconic architecture and gold columns creating an elegant backdrop.
Phil and Kellen also spent time at Union Market to snap a few pics in front of the colorful heart mural the market is known for, created in 2015 by Los Angeles-based artist Mr. Brainwash. The duo even ventured to the rooftop of Union Market for a few images overlooking the cityscape.
Instead of only taking pictures at certain locations, Phil and Kellen also made the most of the time spent traveling long between spots. Their photographer took photos of the couple biking around the city to infuse the shoot with some festive action shots.
"For our engagement shoot, we bought ourselves watches from Shinola, so we wore those to complete our outfits as well as tiebars from Tiebar," Phil shares.
A great thing about engagement photos is that they can take place just about anywhere and the best pictures often come from choosing meaningful locations for shooting. For Phil and Kellen, that meant taking some photos at their home in Washington, DC. After all, they spend a lot of time in their space, why not honor that with images they’ll cherish for a long time to come?
