Dallas’s Deep Ellum district was a fitting locale for Kristin and Konrad's “warehouse-chic” wedding at Hickory Street Annex—an industrial cluster of buildings that dates back to the 1920s. “The aesthetic of the annex matched perfectly with our wedding vision,” Kristin says. “Plus, Deep Ellum is our favorite place to hang for craft beer and dancing.” A natural palette of sage green, copper and gray appeared on invites and tabletops, where laser-cut table numbers were displayed alongside metallic wireframe bowls. Although both Kristin and Konrad were raised Catholic, they opted to wed in a secular ceremony officiated by a close friend. Kristin describes her crepe and lace sheath as “simple and modern with a touch of bohemia.
”Guests sipped Local Buzz—the couple’s favorite craft beer—and indulged in a savory spread of pork tacos before digging into slices of lavender-lemon cake. Once the revelry was underway, Kristin and Konrad surprised family and friends with a choreographed swing dance performance to “Best of My Love” by The Emotions. Kristin repurposed her grandmother’s wedding headpiece for her own updo. Aluminum chopstick sets bearing the Chinese double happiness symbol were displayed at each place setting. “My mother-in-law wanted to bring in some traditional Taiwanese touches,” Kristin says of the DIY chopsticks that doubled as reusable take-home favors. “Our best man called us an Uber black car as our guests formed a tunnel,” Kristin says of their lively party exit. “It was an amazing send-off.”
