Vintage Glam Wedding at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“When I was young, I pictured lime green and hot pink for my wedding,” Gabrielle says. “As I matured, it became emerald green and rose gold.” With that refreshed color palette in mind, Gabrielle and Jesse looked to vintage opulence for design inspiration, choosing velvet for the bridesmaid dresses and the invitation suite, and finding old pieces in honor of their love of antiquing. Jesse rocked a custom emerald velvet tuxedo jacket, while Gabrielle topped her look with a pearl headband-style turban.

The couple decided to tie the knot at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in part because of the city’s meaning in their relationship. “Our first overnight trip was to Philadelphia,” Gabrielle says. “And PAFA’s mix of old and new, historic and modern, reminded us of our own taste.”

One of Gabrielle and Jesse’s many favorite antique finds was an old window, which they turned into a welcome sign for the party. Gold trumpet vases filled with white tulips and greenery combined vintage glam and neutral minimalism. Guests found their seats by selecting calligraphed cards axed to emerald-green ribbon hanging from a custom box.

In keeping with the couple’s candid humor, guests took home TP favors reading: “For when you cry from happiness and pee from laughter.”
