A Vintage Farm Wedding at Brookside Farms in Louisville, Ohio

All it took for Natalie to choose Brookside Farms for her wedding to Dan were the cows. “They’re my favorite animal, so it was a done deal,” she says.

All it took for Natalie to choose Brookside Farms for her wedding to Dan were the cows. “They’re my favorite animal, so it was a done deal,” she says. “Luckily, Dan is more level-headed.” With the location chosen, the pair filled their day with DIY touches. “I couldn’t help but just do everything myself,” Natalie says. Inspired by ’70s farm photos, Natalie designed the stationery and signs to match the vibe.

Natalie carried pampas grass, baby’s breath and feverfew daisies down the aisle. “I absolutely love texture and I knew I wanted a big, wide bouquet,” she says.

Former photographers Natalie and Dan decorated tables with bud vases full of baby’s breath and daisies, taper candles and, of course, vintage cameras. “I decided to make our cake and desserts all myself,” Natalie says. “People freaked out when I told them that, but I used to run a small business as a baker, so it was no sweat.” In the end, Natalie not only made a white cake with vanilla buttercream, but also, a spread of macarons and cookies.
