When Victoria Tishman moved into her new condominium, she had no idea she would be moving next door to her future husband. Exactly two years after they met, the couple wed in a colorful ceremony in Santa Fe. The couple took a detour to the ER, and as Victoria sat in the waiting room, a nurse handed her a bottle of pills instructing her to give them to Ryan to help his headache. When she opened the bottle, though, there were no pills -- just a diamond engagement ring. She looked down to see a migraine-free Ryan on one knee, and accepted his proposal. “I figured he had planned on proposing and had gotten so nervous that he gave himself a migraine,” she says. Turns out, Ryan had been planning his “migraine” for a week.

Victorian and Ryan decided to let the chapel’s natural beauty enhance the ceremony, using only candles and pale-colored flowers as decoration.
Victoria’s three bridesmaids wore light blue, empire-waist, floor-length dresses by Nicole Miller. They also carried colorful bursts of orange, purple, yellow and pink flowers, tied with white satin.

Neil Rosenshein, a family friend and famed opera singer, performed three songs during the ceremony: the first was a love song from bride to groom, the second was from Ryan to Victoria, and a third represented friends and family. “Hearing such a powerful voice in such an intimate space was really moving and especially dramatic,” says Victoria.

Victoria and Ryan left the reception in a 1956 Chrysler Crown Imperial black limousine driven and decorated by a swanky driver wearing a chauffeur’s uniform, circa 1950.
The groom’s cake was a two-tier square chocolate confection embellished with green orchids.
The Centerpieces
Victoria walked down the aisle in a strapless, ivory ball gown by Monique Lhuillier accented by a lace overlay and gold sash.
Guests took home handmade, heart-shape lavender sachets made from pale blue silk that were packaged in white boxes tied with blue and white polka-dot ribbon.
