Vibrant Summer Wedding Filled with Marigolds at The Farmhouse in Montgomery, Texas

Jasmine White (24 and the owner of a juice bar) and Jacob Parker (26 and a field engineer) lived miles apart for the three years before their wedding, while she earned her master’s degree and he played basketball overseas. “We love to be surrounded by our people, but during those years, we rarely got to be with friends and family,” Jasmine says. Fittingly, on their wedding day, 185 loved ones joined them to celebrate the end of long distance forever. The pastor read aloud letters that Jasmine and Jacob wrote to each other. “Meeting you was the first time someone ever saw all of me—and you liked it,” Jasmine said. “Walking down the aisle as husband and wife, with almost every person we love in one room, was pure joy,” Jasmine says. She carried a bouquet of roses, marigolds, zinnias, ranunculus, irises, snapdragons and jasmine (of course!) while a colorful mix of garden roses, delphiniums, craspedia and snapdragons topped tables. “Our color palette was fun, bright and airy,” Jasmine says. A rose and carnation installation and an acrylic sign reading “XOXO, the Parkers” marked Jasmine and Jacob’s seats as the couple swayed to a cover of “XO” by John Mayer. During the cocktail hour, guests noshed on shrimp brochette, chips, queso and salsa and a  bicycle cart offered watermelon-cucumber and pineapple mojito popsicles. The newlyweds sliced into a strawberry cream, chocolate hazelnut and red velvet cake, which was served alongside a chocolate chip cookie groom’s cake. “It was all he asked for in the entire process,” Jasmine says.
