After months of eyeing one another across college classrooms, Valerie Yarberry and Benjamin Larking shared their first date over a slice at a local pizzeria. The playful pup wasn't Benjamin's only surprise, though. I made a white and red ribbon and put it around the puppy's neck with the ring on it, Benjamin recalls. She just saw the ribbon at first. Then she saw the ring and was speechless. Benjamin got down on his knee and told Valerie he wanted to be with her forever.
