One Couple's Urban Jungle Wedding at Fancy Free Nursery in Tampa, Florida

Once Katie and Jay decided to get married at Fancy Free Nursery, they ran with a jungle theme heavy on dark greenery and graphic hints of black. “We wanted it to feel lush, tropical and personal,” Katie says. A save-the-date photo taken in jest at Dinosaur World set an irreverent tone for the Tampa Heights celebration. Katie rocked a custom gold-sequined gown lined with fabric from her mother’s wedding dress. Their baker printed a leaf design onto edible frosting sheets to wrap around the rum, dulce de leche, almond and raspberry cake. Roses and ferns spilled out of Jay’s Yeezy’s on the sweetheart table. “Jay is a sneaker-head,” Katie says. “I wanted to incorporate his love of footwear with my love of flowers.” Katie carried roses, peonies, ranunculus, lavender and ferns. After the ceremony, the couple cruised around the Heights in their 1978 MGB convertible.
