An Eclectic Hindu-Christian Fusion Wedding at The Delaware in Independence, Missouri
Anuhya and Tyler structured their wedding around three principles: unity, gratitude and wonder. “Those values brought us together,” Tyler says. “We wanted them to resonate with our loved ones throughout the day.” With that in mind, the couple wrote their own ceremony from scratch, fusing together Hindu and Christian traditions, as well as taking part in a modern unity ceremony. “Everything we did was inclusive and meaningful,” Tyler says.
The couple opted out of flowers for their reception décor. Instead, a mix of greens, including seeded eucalyptus, Italian ruscus and burgundy eucalyptus, dressed tables in tall clear vases. One of the most eye-catching ways the pair twisted tradition was with their attire. For the reception, Anuhya changed into a gold lehenga, Tyler rocked a navy-blue sherwani and they topped their looks with traditional handmade flower garlands.
