Unicorns and Rainbows Filled This Wedding at Hotel Domestique in South Carolina
Sydney and Michelle went all-out when it came to bringing a celebratory vibe to their two-day affair at Hotel Domestique in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. The couple included unicorns, rainbow details, a live painter, confetti, two wedding cakes and plenty of fun in their South Carolina wedding. "Our wedding vision was built specifically off of the feeling we wanted our guests to have as if they were spending an evening in our home," explains Sydney. "This led us to everything from the color palette to food and drink choices and service style we wanted. Cocktail hour was filled with our favorite treats and a huge foraging board. Dinner was served family-style at long tables (similar to our dining room table) to encourage conversation and a blending of friends and family who many did not know one another." Sydney goes on to explain that "the blues and greys are colors in our cocktail room at home. We went as far as to bring in our own artwork to hang in the venue to truly make it feel like an extension of our home. Our welcome party on Friday night also followed suit. Our favorite way to celebrate any milestone or special life event is with pizza, champagne and cake. So, we could think of no better way to kick off our wedding festivities than with an evening full of exactly that." Ultimately, Sydney and Michelle wanted "every little detail to be thought through, nothing generic, nothing that wasn't personal to us. Our entire event was based on how we wanted to feel and the feeling we wanted to leave our guests with. Going back to this as our guiding principle made making tough decisions much easier, either they fit to help create that feeling or they did not."
