Nathaniel (Nate) Donaldson made sure he didn’t miss the boat -- literally! -- when he realized Twyla Hemmans was the one. Twyla and Nate were introduced by mutual friends at the Windows on the World restaurant in the World Trade Center and were soon inseparable. When Nate stopped on the dock just before they boarded, Twyla became nervous they’d be left behind. “I was telling him, ‘Hurry up, we're going to miss the boat!’” she remembers. She soon realized why Nate was in no rush, however, when he dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring. As Twyla excitedly accepted his proposal, other passengers applauded in congratulations. “Needless to say, the dinner cruise was a big celebration,” Twyla says, “and I couldn't stop looking at my left hand!” The two were married 18 months later at an elegant mansion.
