Tropical, Elegant Wedding at Gasparilla Inn in Boca Grande, Florida

Sarah has long spent holiday with her family at the Gasparilla Inn & Club, which they own. For her wedding to William, she wanted to share the resort she loves with their guests. Rain moved the ceremony indoors, but that only made it more meaningful. “We married in a 107-year-old dining room where I’ve had countless family dinners,” Sarah says. “We’re now reminded of the best moment of our lives every time we dine there.”
William and his groomsmen wore Peruvian textile suspenders, made by Sarah’s company.

Tropical greenery, roses, orchids and Italian ruscus hung from the tent’s draped ceiling, while tall arrangements of curly willow branches and palms topped tables. An installation reading “I love you so much” echoed a popular mural in Austin, Texas, where Sarah and William went to college. Bountiful blooms decorated the vanilla and strawberry cake. The pair also served the Inn’s famous ice cream and rum cocktail, The Hummer.
