When Megan met Jason at work, they were both dating other people. They thought of each other only as friends until they ended up single at the same time. That’s when the friendship evolved into something more. When they got engaged a year-and-a-half later, they had already been living together. The Bride Megan Finn, 27, event consultant The Groom Jason Davis, 31, operations manager The Date March 21 It was Monday morning, their first day going back to work after a vacation, when Jason awoke Megan with a ring in his hand. He didn’t get down on one knee, but he told her he wanted to marry her. The couple spent the next eight months planning a wedding for the first day of spring, which ended up being eight months to the day after Jason popped the question -- the one part they didn’t plan.

White satin, lace, a cameo, and pearls decorated Megan’s all-white bouquet, giving it an antique look.
Conscious of the earth and their budget, the couple used the same tall candlesticks of baby’s breath that lined the ceremony aisle as their reception centerpieces.
Megan and Jason hand-made the menu cards using stained wood, fabric and ivory card stock.
A modern damask pattern on light yellow linens covered the reception tables, and the venue’s all-white dance floor matched the color palette.
Flip-Flop Favors
Jason’s brother designed Megan and Jason’s invitations using the modern damask pattern that was carried throughout the stationery, and also on the linens and cake.
Megan and Jason love sweets, so they served a sampling of all of their favorites. Super-cute mini ice-cream cones were a huge hit!
White rose petals lined the aisle and stood out against the dark, wood floors. Tall candlesticks sat beside every other chair along the aisle and held arrangements of baby’s breath.
In contrast with the other tables, Megan and Jason’s sweetheart table was covered in gray-blue linens. Fabric folded to look like flowers dressed up the backs of their chairs.
Although Vibiana technically isn’t a church anymore, it still looks like one. The couple married on the marble steps leading to the altar.
After the couple saw Alicia Keys in concert, they wanted one of her songs for their first dance. They debated over which one: Jason’s choice, “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” won out.
To find their table, each guest had to answer the sports question on their escort card, courtesy of Jason, a sports-trivia buff. The elegant display helped the clever seating game fit right in with the décor.
Teal Wedding Party
Since there would be many other desserts floating around, the couple opted for a cupcake tower. Fabric matching the table linens covered the tiers and orchids added a soft touch.
