Traditional Red and Teal Wedding at Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg, Virginia

Sarah Farmer, 25, a childcare provider, and Chris Lane, 37, an air traffic controller, had been going on several lunch dates when Chris presented Sarah with a pair of shoes she had been eyeing and asked if they could go on a real date. After she said yes (after all, shoes are the way to a girls heart!) Sarah and Chris started seriously dating, and seven months later, Chris proposed with a three-diamond ring set in a white gold band. The couple decided to have their wedding at Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg, Virginia, where they could have both the ceremony and reception at the same place. Teal and red were two of Sarah's favorite colors, so they were incorporated into the wedding attire and decor on the couple's special day. Due to Chris's profession and his love for planes, air travel was incorporated into the wedding theme. From the airplane model numbers that identified each reception table to the escort cards designed as boarding passes and signs scattered around the venue that read "boarding passes," "baggage check" and "on board snack." One of the couple's favorite parts of their wedding day was the candy bar, which had a variety of teal, black, red and white colored candies with glass jars to fill up. "Blending his [Chris] love for sweets and my love for color was a lot of fun," says Sarah.

The white wedding invitations had a red patterned stripe going through the middle and was printed in teal text.
